There is a myriad of bed frames on the market today. When shopping for a bed, you will want to make sure to choose the bed frame that best suites your needs. A bed can change the look of any room. From simple to elegant, you will find bed frames of all styles.

Bed Frame Styles

When shopping for a bed, the first thing you will need to do is decide which style of bed frame you want. The second step is to decide whether you prefer a metal or wood frame. You will find a plethora of metals and woods used in the construction of bed frames. Each style has a different look and feel about it. You will have to decide what you prefer and what will look best in the room. Below is just a taste of the many styles of bed frames available.

Loft

A loft bed is similar to a bunk bed. The difference between a loft bed and a bunk bed is that with a loft bed there is a bed on the top and a desk or couch underneath. This style of bed is great in a kid’s room, dorm room or small apartment or loft.

Canopy

Canopy beds are beautiful and elegant. The canopy style bed has four tall bed posts with a canopy covering the top of the bed. This bed is sure to make you feel like royalty!

Platform Bed

The European designed platform bed is a fairly modern style. It is very popular among Feng Shui enthusiasts. Unlike most beds, the platform bed only uses a mattress and not the box spring.

Sleigh

The sleigh bed is also a popular pick among many. The style of frame has a high headboard and looks like a sleigh. This style offers a very rich and classy look.

Futon

The futon is a very versatile piece. It can be used for seating during the day and pull out for sleeping at night. Futons are a space saver, which makes them great for guest rooms, family rooms, apartments, and dorms.

Daybed

The daybed, like the futon, is a very functional and practical piece. It offers seating during the day and is used for sleeping at night. Unlike the futon, with the daybed there is no bed to pull out at night. Just take off the pillows and shames and you have a comfortable twin bed!

These are just a few of the great bed frames you will come across while shopping for a new bed. Whether you want a classic or an elegant look, you are sure to find the bed that suites your style and taste.
